This luxury brand has been a partner of AD:60 for more than four years. Through a tight collaboration, we have helped shift this 100 year-old brand’s infrastructure to a mobile-first experience centered on expanding their brand, enhancing their existing auction model, and introducing a new e-commerce platform to their most prominent customers.

The Task

An App for Three Types of Users

With over 500 screens, this complex app successfully helps three types of users create offline and online touchpoints that continue to increase both brand engagement and sales.

1. Consumer Direct

To bring the Christie’s ecosystem to mobile, AD:60 developed an experience that lets users seamlessly flow through four types of e-commerce solutions. From traditional and private auctions to online-only sales and fixed priced, this massive challenge was amplified due to Christie’s infrastructure of 450 auctions annually in over 80 categories, across 13 locations (plus online) and the ability to purchase in 11 different currencies.

2. Specialists

Globally, Christie’s has hundreds of specialists focused on selling and persuading collectors to list their pieces with the auction house. To give its specialists an additional touchpoint with their clients, AD:60 worked with Christie’s to introduce a number of features, such as Authorized Users, which allows representation of high net worth customers who are too busy to participate in the auction. We also introduced Auction Estimates for quick estimates on new auction pieces, and a Specialist Directory with WeChat integration (China only), giving collectors the digital white glove experience Christie’s is known for.

3. Immersive Showroom Experience

Exclusive to their NY and London showrooms, AD:60 partnered with TagSmart to introduce iBeacon technology to create an enhanced viewing experience. Along with unique insights as you enter individual galleries, potential collectors are able to interact with select pieces to gain additional content and insights, as well as the option to purchase or bid before the live auction begins.
