The Year Mobile Connected the World

This is the name Industry Group MobileFuture gave to their review of a year in mobile.  Among the many data points mentioned in the two and half minute video, the most apparent trend was the speed at which we downloaded mobile applications (from 300 million in 2009 to 5 billion in 2010) this year.

Other highlights include the explosion of data traffic, driven by the increasing number of high-end phone buyers. The funniest point given – Texting is still popular, especially among U.S. teens with an average of 3,339 texts per month.
