Carl Warner’s Blends Food & Art to Create Foodscapes
December 3rd, 2010
To some Carl Warner may seems like your average photographer, but to gaze at his work you would quickly assume he paints. In both cases you would be wrong. Carl Warner’s talent takes him in a different direction, one in which any Foodie would jump at.
While at first glance the below images may comes across as vibrant painting, in actuality these are still photographs of sculptures made using the food we eat everyday. Be it a wild ocean made of cabbage, or a beautiful tree landscape of broccoli to hills of baked potatoes, these images almost force your eye and mind to remember what these foods look like.
Based in London, Carl must act quickly to capture his vision before the food dwindle’s under the hot lights.

The Chocolate Express is pictured at St Pancras International Station to mark the launch of his book “Carl Warner’s Food Landscapes”.

He spends a lot of time staring at vegetables in supermarkets, which can make him seem a little odd. However, finding the right shaped broccoli to use for a tree is an all-important task.

Bread and cheese: an edible landscape.

Autumn Flakes: an autumnal landscape made enirely out of breakfast cereals.
